zeroe not being overitten in pict 999999 field

Hello all

I have the following unusual situation. I set up a field xyz, by coding xyz=0. Then I have a say,get line
@ 1,10 get xyz pict '9999999'. The screen shows a zeroe. When the user enters an amount, that amount should replace the zeroe, but sometimes the zeroe does not get replaced & entry is messed up (instead of 112, it comes out as 1120).
Any sugggestions Anybody.

It may be your cpu speed is slow(very odd). How often it happens ? OS ? Fox Pro Version ?

Try entering data a bit slower and observe the behavior.

Thank You for the reply, it is the only thing that whould make sense. I dont think that its related to Foxpro. They are running VFP Ver 6. The OS is Windows XP. It has hasn't happened for month's. When it did happen, a few days ago, it was for an hour-or-so.

Have you tried adding an "@K" clause to your picture clause?

I never heard of this option, but I will use it now. I tested it and does what I need.
