Hello

I have a few reports where this problem seems to occur.

They do not seem to want to zero suppress rows.
Basically, I have set zero suppression on and all they show is 0 or /0.

If I publish the report to the web and run it, it works without a problem (i.e. the rows or layers (if all zero) don't show on the subsequent pdf file.

Whereas if I just look at it via the client tool they show.
Also, if I save it as a pdf the zeros also show

Can anybody think of a reason why?

Thanks

Damian.

Had the same problem, maybe a bug. I'll check knowledgebase later today.

Cheers

Try to format the row in question with more decimal places to see if there is a round up. They may not be zero internally.

I had a similar problem on a field that was the result of a calculation.

Some rows showed 0.0, others showed -0.0, others suppressed ok, yet they all should have been exactly 0.0.

I doubt that COGNOS is 1's complement, so a rounding error sounds likely.

Hi Damian,

Have you checked that the PPClient settings under file, preferences, surpress are set to include zero values and divide by zero ?

Cheers,

Dave
