hi,

i've several questions:
1- is there a way to block the option: "stop agent" on a workstation (windows 98) after the install with msi zfd4-sp1b?
2- when workstations are supposed to unreg? can i forced it on logout?
thanks a lot for your answers!

1. When you say "stop agent" do you mean to stop the remote control agent?

2. Depends, what version of ZFD are you running? There is no direct was to force it on logout. Any reason why you want to un register your workstations? Unless there is a specific need, this will only cause you problems and loose the functionality of ZFD.

1- yes

2- zfd4. i want to register workstations by user name but not by workstation name... maybe it's a mistake but what functionalities are loosed with that way?

1- In the remote control policy for a user or workstation, you can choose to disable the users ability to unload the remote control agent, and even remove the icon from the system tray.

2 - When you unregister a workstation, the inventory, WOL, Remote Control, and imaging to not function for that workstation anymore. In your server policy, you can change the workstation import policy to name the workstation object by user ID. Then you can make the workstation register on every login. And to do the removal, set the auto remove policy to just a single day. I don't think this will work the way you intend.
