I'm looking for a way to programmatically send a file over the serial line with a YMODEM protocol. The device that we are downloading to absolutely needs YMODEM. We are successfully sending files over manually using hyperterminal and want to automate the process from Foxpro. Do we need an OCX? Any suggestion?

Commtools FLL once was the norm. It had ymodem functions. I don't see where you'd get it right now. I dion't own a license, I once used it with a customer.

Bye, Olaf.

You might try CrystalComm as well, there is info from this vendor here:

I noted in an old FoxIt conversation that they had used it for serial coms, and also for FTP and SFTP, in VFP, so it might work and they are still supporting it.

Best Regards,
