yet another error - unable to update job record Error code = 2

Hi,
When I go to do a merge, it gives "unable to update job record Error code = 2"

any ideas, does this mean my changes of restore are F**Ked

any help would be much appreciated.

actually, just to add ... Im getting
unable to update job record

Then
unable to update job record
unable to add job to database
Then
unable to update job record

Corrupt database.

Restore can always be done by selecting Restore By Backup Media and then use a filter to restore what you want.

or initialize the database and merge
or repair the database
or start with a clean database
