Yup, got my switch from eBay, software newer than 2.0.2, so NetICs does not work. I did read alot of posts about contact Nortel for a minor fee. Has anyone paid this minor fee? What was the actual cost? Someone speculated $300, but that seems unlikely high.

I did open the switch and found a jumper right next to the flash chip. With all the software available, is there a downgrade path?

What does the jumper do?

I did contact Nortel Technical Support. They charge by the hour ($350), two hour minimum, requiring a $5,000 authorization to use a credit card. Of course, the person I reached had no idea what a switch was or why passwords were used.

I did not pay the $700, and have no password.
