I wanna know whats the difference between the yes/no box and on/off box.

None.

They have the same values, just the format is different. Same Mary with different hats.

None at all!

They are all different names for a Boolean type field which is Yes/No, True/False, On/Off etc...

i know that ir is of different format, but what implication it have on the database.Thanx...

It has no implication on database development. However, users of the system might feel more or less comfortable seeing the (in)appropriate word in the (in)apropriate place.

For instance, for a checkbox labelled :
'Logging status' - 'On/Off'
'Meeting status: Attended' - Yes/No.
'This Colour is green' - True/False

For programming purposes: -1/0.
