Probably ties in with your other thread of E5110 database is unavailable - which probably means that rds.exe hung up or VLDB crapped out for whatever reason - the -2005 just means it fails to login.
Check and fix is a good start. If it won't login stop the arcserve services, kill rds.exe if it is still hung start the services again and then try to run the check and fix again.
RDS has been failing on startup DB is up to 6gb now so corruption was inevitable since I didnt have my DBcheck and dbfix schedule like I did on previous server.
