I have an app that emails automatically from an ASP page - it works fine but for one specific user I get the error message "MSG 17914, Level 18, State 1, line 0 - Unknown recipient: Parameter '@recipients', recipient 'nameofuser'" where 'nameofuser' is of course, the name of the user. Am I missing something? What's different about this guy that he cant use xp_sendmail?[bigears] I'm all ears!

If you put 'name of user' into your to box in an email & do tools > check names can the user be resolved?

Is this user's name unusual in any way?

It's the strangest thing - all my users can just enter nameofuser, but this guy has to enter nameofuser@coname.com. He has the same permissions as everyone else on the server. I got it to work but I don''t understand why he's different than the others...[nosmiley] for me yet, he's happy and its working.. the @recipient didn't work when I even hardcoded it & ran it in query analyzer, it need the s2pd @coname.com!
