I currently have 2K Pro on 2002 Shuttle 32FAT. Want to install XP MCE - this is not upgrade. Is it feasible to format HD and do a clean install of XP? How do I format? Go into DOS and fdisk or format c. Then install XP? I tried booting w/XP disk in D drive but PC ignored the setup disk and went into 2K Pro.

did u change boot order to cd first?
usally u boot from cd, start setup, there u can do the format/partitioning of the hd.

Lemon, Yes. My boot sequence is CD, Floppie, HD. Since it is not upgrade but new install, don't I have to format first?

Yes, but the setup program for XP will perform the Format for you when the you reach that step in the setup sequence.

Anyway,
Do you get a message that says something like:

"Press any Key to Boot from CD"?? if so press anything to get the XP CD to boot at that point.
