XP SP2 and WebEx

I have a user who wanted to be the first kid on the block with a Laptop upgraded to SP2. Well, now he can't join WebEx Sessions. It seems he has already uninstalled SP2 as he yet again tried to fix a problem he created instead of calling me and now he's made it worse.

I went through his security settings and checked his Active X Controls against mine and they are the same, yet he still can't access Webex sessions.

Anyone else have any conflicts with SP2 and Webex. Any ideas on how to get Webex up and running for him?

Here's an extract from an email we received from Webex a while ago - it might help.

This section outlines the steps WebEx is taking across all services to ensure full
compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 2. If you have additional questions,
please contact WebEx technical support.

* Minor compatibility issues between WebEx and XP SP2 can be corrected with changes
to browser settings by the user. Early testers of XP SP2 may wish to use the workarounds
documented at

http://try.webex.com/mk/get/winxpsp2

for compatibility via browser
configuration changes.

* A WebEx Emergency Patch correcting XP SP2 compatibility issues will be available
on August 28th. Customers with early XP SP2 rollouts may request this patch by
contacting their WebEx account manager or technical support representative.

* WebEx Service Pack 9, scheduled to begin deploying to customers in September
and completing in October, will contain the Emergency Patch contents outlined above.
Like the Emergency Patch, WebEx Service Pack 9 correct compatibility issues with
XP SP2. WebEx Service pack 9 will be rolled out to customers using our existing
process for updates.
