I have two PC's and would like to share a folder on one of them. The PC where the Data is is an XP Home PC. The other PC is XP Pro.
If I create a shortcut to the desktop I can see the folders without problems. However when I go into Word and open the folder I get an error saying - The folder may be located in an unavailable location, protected with a password or the file name contains a / or \.
If I do start Run and type \\IP address the folders and printers pop up in window but if I do \\name I get an error. However I can ping the name and it resolves back to the correct IP address.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mark
