XP Security on a folder 2

Hi
I am trying to copy a folder to back up for a client.
The folder is in her 'my docs'I have mounted the HDD in another pc and I intend to format it after back up.
When I try to copy and paste it or open it the error message appears '.....\foldername is not accesible. access is denied.'
Any ideas on how to overcome it?

Use Safe Mode if using XP Home.
For XP Pro with Simple File Sharing enabled (the default), you need to disable this:

(Remember to put it back the way you found it).
