I've a intermitent problem on network with several workstations Win XP PRO and Win2k Server SP3.
Sometimes random XP workstation restarts during the login process. Any suggestions or tips much appreciated.
Thanks.
If it's random and on different machines you may have your work cut out trying to solve this. All I can suggest is that you monitor the Event Viewer for errors each time this occurs and see if you can catch any error message.
Thank you for quick reply. I've checked error logs on affected workstations previously and it error was "it can not create subscribers partition", I'll check again and will keep you posted.
The following are last two warnings just before xp client to w2k domain restarts during login:
Windows has detected that Offline Caching is enabled on the Roaming Profile share - to avoid potential profile corruption, Offline Caching must be disabled on shares where roaming user profiles are stored.
The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber partition:{41E90F3E-56C1-4633-81C3-6E8BAC8BDD70}!new:{6295DF2D-35EE-11D1-8707-00C04FD93327}. CoGetObject returned HRESULT 8000401A.
See if there is any help in these. At a rough guess I'd say there is a problem with the server process not starting because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password. Or there is a problem with the Mobsync.dll file from the server.
