Right the situation:

User logs in... then locks the computer.. when they try to unlock it, the password is not recognised...

At first thought it was the user... but it's not.

Any ideas Guys.

Thanks in advance

Caps lock on?
Password expired during time the PC was locked (the SID will invalidate if this is the case)?

John

Thanks for the quick response.

The passwords on the affected computers were changed today with new passwords. It has also affected a computer with a password that never changes. It's not a caps lock issue either unfortunately.

It's not a Num Lock issue is it? On laptops, some alphabetical numbers also form a number pad. I have seen this get quite a few people... :)
