I can successfully connect to a network share on MacOS 10.3, from windows 2000. It asks me for userid and password and it works. While using Win XP Pro, I can browse to the share, it asks me for userid and password. The useird field is disabled and it displays '\\ipaddressofMAC\Guest' and i can't specify a different user, which I can do in win2k. Any ideas how can I enable XP Pro to ask me for both userid and password.

Oh well, initial panic because my boss was on my neck. I figured it out as soon as he left to attend some calls. Right click on the Share and click 'Map Network Drive', in that window under the Drive, Folder field. There's a hyperlink 'Connect using a different user name'. Click on it. You'll get a dialog box asking for userid and password. specify appropriate MAC userid and password. viola!

I'm posting this in case anyone has same problem.

cheers.

Glad we could help :)
