I have been getting XP Pro machines as replacement workstation computers. These users are not sharing anything, and their presence clutters the browser list. How can I remove them from the browse list. The NT command--net server /hidden:yes-- does not work with these machines. Any help would be appreciated. Thansk.

Yes XP is a bit different on hidden shares
it only works if you have it join the NT domain or Win2k Domain

or if you want, you can do a share on your drive as hidden share, but i wouldn't suggest it, to get around it i been created a new folder and use it for share

Are you talking about all the shares that pop up automatically?

Well make sure you unshare those folders and then you can delete them from the XP pcs.

May have misstated the problem. When xp machines come online, they show up as domain members in my server list. This is where the clutter comes in, but it is more for my purposes. These machines do not show up in the browse list (no shares). Any thoughts? Thanks.
