Hi!

I am working on a Dell Latitude 2 GIG P4 with XP Pro. It's basically got nothing on it and is working perfectly except for one minor detail.

When I go to Turn Off Computer and Restart, it always powers the laptop completely off rather than restart. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

That's not what I had in mind. Any ideas what is going on here?

Have you checked the Power settings in control panel?

not sure if its common in all laptops, but mine has an option in the Advanced tab of Power Settings.

It has several "What to do if" options, and one particular one says What to do when I select [red]Restart[/red] from the Shutdown menu:
The options are Restart, Shutdown, Do Nothing.

Obviously when set to shutdown it wont restart but rather shutdown.

The other thing to check is to go into the Bios and find out if there are any warm reset options there.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Ohh o.k never mind my post then.
