Hello all, I know you have seen this problem before and I have tried all the suggestions (thanks) but the spooler keeps stopping everytime I click on the Add Printer Wizard.
First it says Operation could not be completed, I then go restart the spooler via the instructions below and go back and add printer and again it stops.
"This error occurs because the Spooler service has not been started or has stopped working. To start the Spooler service, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
3. Double-click the Printer Spooler service, and then change the startup type to Automatic. This sets the Spooler service to start automatically when you restart the computer.
My printer is old but its in the Drivers List for XP.
Dont laugh its a Cannon BJ-10sx!!
I tried to go to the Control Panel, then Add Hardware and add it that way but it seems to be working then it runs into another problem and all it does is add new folders in the windows/system32/spool/drivers folder. (sorry machine is at home so not as specific about the exact path).
I have been trying this for a few weeks you guys are my last resort. I have even tried to add the service pack again but no luck. Any help will be apprecaiated. Thanks
