ok
the main epo server is standard 2003 server - standalone

the clients are not in a domain as we are a netware environment.
to install the clients initially i distributed the epo client via zen this in turn upgraded the old 4.51 to 8.0i

the clients are a mix of nt4 , 2000 and xp.

we had a few that were missed so i just picked them off on the rogue and right click - deploy epo client and away you go - this works ok on nt4 and 2000 but xp just bounces back with a sod off

the xp versions are sp1 and sp2 - no firewall or any crap like that - to test i got a pc and turned every service there is on just to see and no joy just sod off - the account i'm using is an admin

any thoughts - where can i look - it fails instantly - the pc doesnt update any logs at all

I have an almost identical issue...xp firewall is off, 2000 works fine, but xp just wont remote install the agent, even with domain admin rights...its very frustrating.

i've got a call in with macafee just now

but only had one email back so far but he was starting off with the "ok well edit the logon script"

but i dont want this i just want to be able to select a rogue - click on deploy epo - slap the bloodyxp\administrator in the box with the password and then see the pc pop in - nice and shiny

it was the remote registry
service needs to be on]
