Has anyone tried to integrate an XP Home client in a Win2k domain?
I know MS says it can't (or shouldn't) be done, but you know, there are always those situations where you cant upgrade a system right away. I 've got this one XP home client (its an OEM box that came that way) on a single-server network. I 'm just thinking about ahwt to do w/ it.
I suppose if the local user credentials match a set on the server, that user can at least access ressources (shares and printers) on the network? I have a login script in the NETLOGON share of the server, I guess I 'll have to run that locally.
I usually try to stay away form XP home and haven't messed with it much. Is it much like XP Pro? How are you people integrating it in networks when it comes-up?
Thanks for the input!
