Hello all,

I'm working with XP home and XP pro

In VFP9 and XP Home, when I try to add a form to my project , all the forms are shown in alfabethical order, in VFP9 with XP Pro they are shown in order of last opening.

How can I get an alfabethical order in XP Pro?

regards

Paul

Paul, I don't seem to experience that behaviour - in fact I can't get the list in any order besides alphabetical!

Paul,

The project itself always shows forms in alphabetical order. You can't change that. It has nothing to do with the version of XP.

But maybe you mean that the Open File dialogue shows the forms in a certain order? (That's the dialogue that comes up when you click Add.) If so, that's got nothing to do with VFP. The order is determined by the "View Menu" button at the top of the dialogue. Click that button, then choose Detail View, then click on the column header for either the file name (for alphabetical) or Date Modified.

Mike

Answer in UT:

It takes the order as specified by the folder's settings in the Windows Explorer. When you change them there, it's reflected in the Open and Save dialogs.

You may want to use 'Set all folders to current folder' option to make it work correctly.

Hello Mike,

Thank you, it's working fine now!
