XP Home and SecureRemote & Exchange 5.5

I have a PC that I'm trying to setup to allow a user access to their Exchange 5.5 e-mail. I'm accessing the web via a cable modem with XP Home as the OS and the mail client is Outlook 2000. I can establish a VPN session but cannot get the e-mail to work. Has anybody else had this issue? Is this because XP Home cannot log into a domain? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, XP Home is not the problem

I have XP Home and I access an Exchange server on a specific domain through a VPN via a cable modem. The mail client is Outlook 2002.

The domain name, has to be entered in a login process managed by Exchange.
