XP hangs where 2000 continues

I have a report which hangs in WinXP when I use a formula that uses a visual basic UFL textloopup function. In win2000 it runs perfectly. I have registered the .dll in both operating systems but once I want to preview the report it shows an error in crw32.exe and then the application has to be terminated.

Can anybody please tell me what the problem could be?

Sorry for replying on my own post. I just hope that somebody can help me because I really need a solution to my problem and I can't find it.
