xp disconnets me from the internet

ok give me some more info did this just start to happen? was it working properly before this occured. Type of modem.
But before you relpy with this info try this (1) uninstall the exixting drivers and reinstall them. (2) see if perhaps you accidently (or intentionally, just kidding) downloaded any of those porn dialers, they operate in such a way that it logs yuo off the net then dials there long distance number.
