On a Dell D600 laptop, im getting an event in the System log after startup:
{ Event ID: 1003
Description"Your computer was not able to renew its address from the DHCP server fo rhte network card wiht network address 000f1fa14e2a. The following error occured: The semaphore timeout period has expired. You computer will continue to obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server. }

The mahcine is XP Pro and set to DHCP an address. It was loaded from a Ghost image from another D600.
It is on the network OK, but im worried that it wont be able to renew its DHCP lease.
any ideas?
thanks
glenn

I am also having this problem after ghosting 50 PC's
The DHCP settings are correct, but each PC is picking up a weird IP address which is not relevant to our address structure.
Any advice would be appreciated
