Crashes mostly when using the scroller on the right side in any application, but mostly on IE. Reinstalled XP, and memory card...no luck. Computer freezes when draggin - the screen still appears but frozen - and some sections looked dragged....only step next is to hold the on/off down for like 6 seconds - and reboot...when I do, not problems logging in...smooth....lockups occur a few times daily....please help someone. thanks, Jeff

Did you try changing the video card? A+, MCP, CCNA

Keep fighting for your knowledge!

I have to think it is the Video card as well, maybe not so much the card itself, but at least the driver. Most common issue with lockups like this when you are in windows or Internet Explorer. If you can ahold of another card, try that, or better yet, just set your card to use generic vga driver in windows, if it clears even though your resolution may not be the best, you will at least know what the cause is.

Rock on!
