We are just setting up a new 2003 domain.
When the first xp clients connected to the domain the user was asked to change their password, when they tried an error was generated.
I set the password in active directory users and computers but when attempting to logon the clients get a policy of this machine does not allow you to logon interactively.
Users are members of domain users, admin users can login without problem.
I am thinking group policy has got screwed up somehow.

Anyone else had this problem

Take a look at the Default Domain Policy, which should be assigned to the root of your domain.

Under Computer Config - Windows - Security - Local - User Rights Assignedment, there is an option called Log On Locally, which by default is set to Not Defined. Verify this setting and get back to us.

Thanks for the reply, I will check this when I get into work in the morning.
