I logon to my PC with my username and a password. My user account is an Administrator account in XP. When I go into Safe Mode, I can logon as Administrator, but my username is not an option. Logged in as Administrator in Safe Mode, when I go to Internet Explorer, under c:/Documents and Settings, I can browse all the user folders in their except for my own - I get a message that it's not accessible. So I logged into my workstation in normal mode and removed my password and tried again. I still could not access my folders when logged in as the Adminitrator in Safe Mode. What do I need to do to my user account on my PC to be able to access the files in there when I'm in Safe Mode?

Do you use the Welcome Screen when you logon normally, or is this an Automatic Logon to your user's Desktop?

In Safe Mode, when the users login is showing, if you press Ctrl+Alt+Del (twice) you should get the classic Login box which will allow you to type your username in it with the correct password.

Thank you, linney! I did not know about pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del twice - it worked!
