xp and printing in accpac dos 7

I had a machine running Win98 and it printed to a HP laserprinter. I upgraded the machine to Win xp pro and can print from windows to the hp but cannot print to it from accpac. When i try it prints to the wrong printer every time. Is it an LPT port thing? It is using the same LPT as it was before.

Kind of lost.
