I just got a new mobo and i switched everything onto my new mobo but the comp turns on but screen message doent will i have to delete aall my original drivers on my hd?

By the sounds of this, you turn on the system and nothing display's?

If this is the case, do you get any beep codes? Now, if the system is just turning on and not displaying any information this isn't a driver issue. Your drivers are not loaded until Windows loads.

My recommendation would be to begin with verifying that the motherboard is hooked up correctly and that all the power cables are snapped in securely.

See if the new motherboard links in this thread help.

Moving a Hard Drive to a new computer!

I have checked all of the connections and i am getting power but still no displays and the monitor is good! any other suggestions?

I have reset all my jumpers checked the power connections.
Jumper Settings
Jumper Type Description Setting (default)
JP1 3-pin Clear CMOS 1-2: Normal
2-3: Clear CMOS JP1
Use this jumper to clear the contents of the CMOS memory.
You may need to clear the CMOS memory if the settings in
the Setup Utility are incorrect and prevent your mainboard
from operating. To clear the CMOS memory, disconnect all
the power cables from the mainboard and then move the
jumper cap into the CLEAR setting for a few seconds.

After i do that do i turn on the comp in clear mode?

If you have a PCI or AGP video card installed and the MOBO has integrated video, you may have to disable the integrated video in BIOS. Some MOBOs do this automatically, some don't.

I dont have integrated video what it is, is a gforce3 connected to an nforce mobo! Im not getting any post beeps or anything If the power panel where u plug the hdd led and reset switch all up is not plugged in correctly would this cause it to do this!
Im pretty sure it is connected correctly though according to the manual!

Some other things that can cause this:
Hard drive or CDROM cable plugged in backwards
Using one stick of memory in a MOBO that requires two
New MOBO may be bad

Did you place the processor on the new motherboard yourself? Any error in doing so would fry it within moments.

When swopping the motherboard the usual mistakes are:

1) That the heatsink has been fitted 180% out (the recess in the base of the heatsink must be positioned so it is over the raised cam box of the CPU socket)

2) The new motherboards mounting holes are not in exactly the same place as the old? you have left one too many brass stand off posts aqnd the mainboard is shorting to ground.

3)The power supply has failed on one power rail (often lights come on and fans spin but nothing else happens)

4) Your reset button is stuck in (again everthing spins but nothing boots)

5) you have forgoptten to fit the extra P4 power connector often required on many Athlon boards.

6) IDE cable the wrong way around? Floppy cable the wrong way around? front panel wires on the wrong headers?

7) an addon card preventing post

You could try removing the motherboard from the case and try a minimum configuration "bread board" test.
Mainboard/CPU/Heatsink/fan/one stick of memory/PSU/Graphics card see if you can get a post now?
