xmodem ios to flash 1

I am doing a xmodem -r (file name) and i cant get the ios to show in the flash, im doing a "sh flash" and it says no directories. How the heck do i get the ios to flash so it will boot up? its running with the ios and configs, but like i said its not showing in the flash dir. TIA

it is best to use tftp to download the ios as i had experienced last week this weird problem that when i downloaded the ios through xmodem , it was success but it was not downloading it successfuly while i used the tftp method it worked well and my routers are functioning properly . Keep in my mind that i used this method on three different routers but the same result with xomdem and success with tftp.
