Hello,

I was hoping someone on here could recommend a really good XML editor which would allow me to copy all the contents under a specific tag and collape tags etc. I have a tremendously large XML file (i.e. somewhere in the vincity of 30,000 lines) and I need to copy all the tags and such under a specific parent tag. It's proving to be very difficult to do this by using searchs in notepad etc in order to find the parent's closing tag since it is repeated countless times inside the parent tag (In other words the parent tag has tags within it with the same name). I would like to get a free editor as I would prefer not to be forking out a lot of dough. Anyways any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks

Altova XML Spy is the best, IMHO, and does all that. I'm also working with super huge XML files. It's shareware but you have to register after a certain time. Not sure on the costs on that.
