xml and rss feeds

Hi All

im hoping to gain experience in semantic web.....

if anyone has any tips/sample's about how to set up and xml page and receive rss feeds and store their content via xml id much appreciate it.

later on im going to use rdf with this project but imstill researching it all

the main problem im having is figuring out how to extract the data from the rss feeds and save them either in xml db or a text file either woud do
