XM24 on IP office 8.0 ?

I have 6424 sets on an IPO 500v2 running 8.0.66 software
I have tried to connect a XM24 module with the required power pack but i can not seem to program the buttons in IPO Manager, Some do nothing at all and some just beep when pressed. What am I doing wrong?

I read somewhere that 6400 sets were not supported in IPO 8 (I could be off by a release) but I do know its not supported in the most recent releases.

I believe people have found they would work on expansion modules but not DS8 or combo cards

But ??? the 6424's are running fine already on 8.0.66 it's just the XM24's that won't work.

I don't think they were ever supported

I suggest use the Admin function. Program the button on the 6424 (on the set) and then press Admin use the menu buttons to toggle the feature and try pressing a button on the XM24 to finish programming.

I do know some sets could theoretically work despite it claiming EOL. I have a 4606 running on a 4.1 release, that officially cannot be used. But yet the phone can work.

I had one working on 3.1/403 - but the thing died - and never got to replace it.
