We have several Hp Laser Jet 4SI on the network, installed on a dedcated print server.

When printing Excell documents from my laptop to my printer, I frequently get the horizontal lines misalligned.
i.e the lines run through the txt rather than above and below.
If I print the same document from printer next door, it prints fine ! same type printer, same setup.

Any ideas !
Thanks in advance
Arun

arun,

try re-installing the printer drivers for the that printer.

is the printer next door a different model?

Hi ONEDTENT

Thanks for your response

Already re-installed the driver,
Yes printer next door same model, same setup.

The problem does not occur all the time. I's say 50% of prints. I printed 3 pages this morning, all lines are fine.

then i would guess ur margins and/or headers/footers are all weird and one printer can handle it and other can't

but b4 that, make sure spooling properties(print processor), printing defaults are the same on both printers
