XHTML Problem?

Hi, I recently got DMX and tried the "Make Document XHTML Compliant". Every computer I have sat down at, my website works fine, and have also viewed the site in Netscape and Mozilla, still everything is fine.

I got an email from my mom (please no laughing!) but she can't get my site to work she gets an error. She used to be able to view the site and the only change I have made was the XHTML check box.

My question, would it be her computer or is XHTML not compatable with older computers? She has Explorer 6 and she lives 2000 miles away so I can't look at her computer. This just worries me because I am not sure what or where the problem is.

if anyone would like to check it out. I am building it to get it up and running the switching to a host with no pop-ups.

i got it taken care of....she has flash player downloaded so it wasn't that...I just changed the splash page back to regualer HTML instead of the XHTML and it worked for her fine. Which confuses me because the rest of the site has the XHTML checked and it works fine for her...so it was just the index page? weird...

nice......but remember that root is always .html,.asp.,php,.htm, etc. but as I remember u can always set it "SOmeOdd_extention.abc" file......so XMTML was not "right" or it is one of those X-files cases
