Hello Friends,
I am new to linux and recently started learning Java programming. I've installed Redhat 7.2. I recently installed jdk1.2.2 on my linux os. Now my monitor screen keeps blinking from the time i get login prompt on my screen. It blinks for say some 5 sec. or so and then shows the prompt. This keeps repeating. If I try starting X with startx command, i get the following error message(its quite lengthy) and then screen continue to blink:

The only way to stop this rebooting my system. The same thing continues if i reboot my system. I dont understand what to do.

I am new to linux and recently started learning Java programming. I've installed Redhat 7.2. I recently installed jdk1.2.2 on my linux os. Now my monitor screen keeps blinking from the time i get login prompt on my screen. It blinks for say some 5 sec. or so and then shows the prompt. This keeps repeating. If I try starting X with startx command, i get the following error message(its quite lengthy) and then screen continue to blink:

The only way to stop this rebooting my system. The same thing continues if i reboot my system. I dont understand what to do.
Can anyone suggest me any solution?? If possible also tell me why this happened.
