Xerox Workcenter 7755

I'm using the workflow scanning option on the xerox printer, which allows you to scan a document to a share on the network.

I select filing options, then select JPEG, then press the green button to scan the document.

The issue is the xerox seems to create a folder called

DOC_20091105175021.XSM

This folder has the JPEG image plus the following files,

DOC_20091105175021.DAT
NEXTNAME.DAT
XSMDESC.DAT

Why does the xerox create this folder? can anyone help?

I believe it is for postscript conversion of the file.
Use the PS driver normally, from Adobe apps, or install the PCL driver for use from non-P/S apps.

Check Your scan template.
Turn off the joblog in the webinterface of the XeroxWC7755.
go to scans
select template
select modify
scroll down and you will find job log.
