I have a Phaser 8400 displaying 07.010.43 each time it's powered on. I have the service manual and the process gears are in sync. Has anyone been able to repair this problem?

The following items can cause the printer error code listed above:
• The printer was powered off in the middle of a cleaning cycle
and the wiper has frozen to the printhead.
• A Drum Maintenance Camshaft lobe is broken and holding the
Maintenance Kit’s oil roller against the drum when it should be
retracted to its home position.
• Process gearbox not being aligned correctly as described in the
service manual and in Service Bulletin 714.
• A broken left or right printhead restraint.
• Ink spilled in the roll block preventing the printhead from tilting
forwards/backwards or from traveling left/right.
• Ink or other debris under the printhead that do not allow it to
fully tilt backwards or forward.
• The printhead wiper assembly not being aligned correctly or ink
spilled in the wiper tracks on either side of the printer.
• The printhead tilt gear not being homed correctly.
• The X-axis motor nose cone not being installed correctly.
• The ferrite torrid on the printhead interface cable has slipped
behind the printhead causing the printhead to bind when it tilts
backwards.
• The black plastic shroud on the back of the printhead is snapped
off and binding the printhead when it tilts back.

Thanks for the reply Cultoflon, much appreciated. I will check these things.

Forget all that just Home the printer and see if the error returns If it does then go digging around the insides But the first thing to do is home the process gear drive Wiper and tilt gear.... which all probably spells calling an ASP since each one has specific procedures

I homed the process gears, printhead and wiper assembly multiple times only to get the same results. I tried that before I posted my first message. The problem I found to be was a combination of a cracked and slightly rotated cam lobe on the maintenance shaft (which seemed strange since it has the new style black pivot plate) and a low spot on the printhead tilt gear from the grinding it did (occasionally) before displaying the error. The wiper blade was in rough shape as well. I replaced all of these items, homed everything once again and the repair was complete. No ASP required, only determination. I was getting an occasional 08.055.44 error and a persistent 07.010.43 error. The printer has been operational and running good for a few weeks now. So actually several of the listed items above are accurate.
