Xerox Doc Center 425 - Scan to PDF

The machine default for scanning is to TIFF. Is there a way to change the default template to scan to PDF instead of TIFF? Is this a machine or server setting?

I have tried to set it on the server, but the value won't hold when i hit apply. Any ideas?

This is a machine setting. I don't recall the exact menu you have to enter to change this. I had a DC 420 and this was a value that each user chooses when they scan; I believe is "default output" or "printer output"; I don't remember very well.

I printed out the machine Configuration Report but it does not list it as a default or a setting for "Network Scanning Setups". I know on the software side if you setup templates for each user you can define it as PDF or TIFF. With many users its a pain to deal with so i was hoping on figuring out how to change default. I agree its a Machine setting, not sure if it's one you can actually change.
