XenApp issue please help

Hello all-

i have two presentation server 4.5: ctx1 and ctx2

ctx1 has everything installed

ctx2 is joined to ctx1 existing farm


my problem is that when i turn off ctx2 and just have ctx1 running alone, it does not pickup the farm server at all when i try to run in discover mode.

ctx2 is not the datastore.

does anybody know what is going one?
