Hi

I have deleted the xdir.edb file, and dont have a backup, can i re-instate this file?

Do you still have a dir.edb file (without the X)? Is your server still working?

Server still working, i have multiple servers in the organisation, but not multiple in the site.

I have DIR.edb yes.

Then all's well. dir.edb is the important file, as without it your Exchange server is totally hosed, and needs either rebuilding from scratch, or a restore of a known good backup (which may well be what your xdir.edb file was intened for! See for more details, and then follow its advice as soon as possible).
