Hi, I have 4 X330 servers with W2K server installed. One is giving me trouble. One time a week or two, it reboots by itself. The only Event reported is that the server reboot was inexpected. This server is a file server with no software than windows installed.

How do I manage this?
Thanks!

Reboot the server manually and hit F1 during the boot up sequence.

Go to "Error Logs" and check the "System" error logs for the last event which was logged before the server rebooted.

This'll give you a good indication as to what's happening.

had exactly the same problem. Look in services and set IBM Automatic Server Restart and IBM Automatic Server Restart Executable to Manual start andstop the services.

The 330 hits a wait state which these services think is a halt and so they reboot. They are not really needed and actually cause more problems than they solve...

Hi I had the same problem, and found out that the memory iused was unstable.
