Hi all,

I was wondering if there was some free program that would enable me to run X-Windows on an NT workstation so I can access my Solaris box via GUI instead of telnet. The main reason for this is that some of my programs (eg. Oracle) can not run in telnet (character mode) so each time I need to go into the serve room to use them.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Please use exceed from humming bird.no other free utilities are good.

I agree, Exceed from Hummingbird works like a charm. Its the only one we use.

I recommend X-Win32 ( It isn't free ($249 per licence) but you can use the evaluation version for two hours at a time.

It's unobtrusive and efficient and uses the Windows clipboard for copy and paste, which is very handy.

Annihilannic.

exceed + uwin + nedit for uwin
All my developer sripts work on Nt (after small correction with back slash in path names). And I can rlogin to any UNIX box or from Unix to Nt.
Finaly Nt became Unix frendly (almost:))
