Does anyone know what the WUtemp folder is that is located on the root of all my physical drives? thanks.

Ya know, interesting you brought that up, because I delete it about a half dozen times a week, and like a bad penny, it keep's turning up! :)

I'll be happy to hear this one...

Let's have it experts! :)

Cheers!

It's a temporary download folder for windows updates.
Delete whenever.

Cheers,
Jim

If it's a windows temporary upadate folder, then why is it also on my nonsystem drive?

windows has a habit of spreading the WUtemp stuff wherever it sees fit. I find them on all my local drives whenever I do an update. I just created a little batch file and put it in my scheduled tasks that checks for and whacks the folder(s) every night at midnight.
