WSUS- computers not reporting status 1

After installing WSUS, I can click on the Computers link and several of my computers show the blue info icon next to them and they display "This computer has not reported status in X or more days."

The X = how many days and is not the same for all computers.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have the same problem. In my network I have some computers with Windows 2000 and others with Windows XP. It seems that only Windows 2000 computers report to the server. None of the XP machines report. I checked the registry in the XP machines and they all correctly have the URL for my server.

I have since uninstalled WSUS and am looking for a different solution. Thanks for the post coco10.

Does anyone use a third party solution to push out Microsoft critical updates automatically?
