WSUS and Remote Computers

I am currently running WSUS and managing groups in AD OU's. I have serveral remote locations and one corportate location where the WSUS server resides (VPN Hub and Spoke).

I want to administrate all machines from my one WSUS server but I want to pull updates from several different locations.

For instance...in the corportate office they are pulling from the WSUS server locally, but in the remote office I want them to pull from the Internet to avoid saturation to our corporate Internet pipe.

In the GPO for my remote computers, I tried just making the "Intranet Update Service"

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

and the stats server my internal WSUS server but that did not work.

Any suggestions?

I do not think that is the objective of this software. For your vpn user you can just turn on automatic updates.

I am looking around though and will give you a more difinative answer.

Yes you can set this up. Please read the docmentation on the WSUS site.

Which WSUS site are you refering to? Do you have a URL?

If anyone have any other ideas on this situation or has a website that I can refer to, that would be great.

I have googled this issue, with no luck.
