Hi All

This is driving me mad. All I want to do is scale the image displayed in a List/Task view. Everything I've seen seems to refer to SPS - i.e. they refer to files that are not available in WSS i.e. schema.xml etc. Can't isolate the tag that controls the column in CSS either - sorry to be so dumb..

i.e. - all the images are shown at the orginal size - i just want a thumbnal size - say 150px.

Many Thanks

p.s. In clarification of what I say 'files not available under WSS'
For example with WSS (when running on a third party hosted server) - you only have access to the site via Frontpage and not full ftp. You can't even access the main ows.css style sheet - since you can't see the '_layouts' sub directory.
I think I'm really missing something here - I'm beginning to think WSS is actually knobbled for this type of customisation - but surely not, its so basic......

Hi ET,
Since SPS is built on top of WSS, the schema.xml and such all are actually WSS features. On your own box, if you have WSS installed, check out the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\STS\LISTS. You'll see a folder for each type of list, with schema.xml there.

FrontPage would let someone customize the look of a site in a hosted scenario.

For this particular case, it sounds like you'd want to define a custom field (column) type that you could later use in your list. Check out this post for more information:

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
The problem is that since this is a hosted WSS site that I am trying to work on - you are not given access to the box as such. I do not have access to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\STS\LISTS or any dir that has a schema.xml. Obviously I have admin rights for the site etc and have had a good look around with Frontpage.

I really must be missing something here....

Thanks
