wss 3.0 search indexing

I have the follow environment

Single Win2k3 Server (WSS and SQL installed together)
-WSSv3sp1
-SQL2k5Express

having an issue with search/indexing and getting the following error in my event log:

i found my own answer. it involved a registry edit to disable loopbackchecking as found here

i guess with sql and wss on the same box this becomes an issue. i tested this in win2k3 environment and search is working.
